Happy 100th anniversary!
The building that is the current home of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government turned 100 years old last month. It began as the the former Lafayette Hotel before the building became the municipal city hall.
It stood as a hotel for 43 years before it was purchased by the LFUCG in 1982. After some renovations, the building became the headquarters for the local city government in 1984.
