Bella Rose celebrates 40 years of business in downtown Lexington

The best place to buy that little black dress. Since 1980, Bella Rose has been offering customers a personal shopping experience like no other boutique in Lexington.

Bella Rose celebrated their 40th anniversary in June. In honor of over four decades in the business, Mayor Gorton declared June 13, 2020 as Bella Rose Day in celebration of the store’s 40 years of success in Lexington.

Betty Spain opened Bella Rose with the goal to bring fashion from the big city to the small town of Lexington, right on the corner of Maxwell and Upper.

Spain claims the boutique is a place to find an outfit for life’s special occasions as much as it is a place to keep your everyday wardrobe chic and relevant.

Bella Rose offers clothes for all occasions from birthdays, weddings and graduations to that special first date; for women in every stage of life from mothers, daughters, grandmothers and everyone in-between. Spain now runs the store with her daughter, Haley Williams.

While the pandemic didn’t halt the celebrations, it caused Spain to shift to online sales, curbside pick up and delivery to local customers during the initial shutdowns. Even with businesses reopening, in-store shopping hasn’t gone back to normal completely.

Bella Rose is located at 126 W Maxwell St.
