Intersection of South Upper and Winslow closed for construction

Road closed sign on street

Starting Thursday, May 7, a section of South Upper Street will be closed from Winslow Street to Bolivar Street. Winslow will be closed from Jersey Street to South Upper. This closure is expected to last for one and a half weeks.

The streets are closed in order to replace the old sewer pipe with a new line. Bolivar between Mill Street and South Upper, which is currently closed for work on the sanitary sewer, will have one lane open to facilitate the detour.

Commuters coming from downtown on Upper Street can avoid the closure by taking Cedar Street to Mill Street to Bolivar, which will reconnect them to South Upper.
